Elle Lokko and the wider Accra creative community were referenced in Feminist Africa, one of the continent's leading feminist academic journals, in the essay Flipping Prisms: Feminist Creative Synergy Amps Up in Accra by Sionne Rameah Neely.
Published as part of the journal's special issue on feminist organising and movement-building, the article examines the emergence of contemporary creative networks in Accra and the role of women in shaping new cultural, artistic and entrepreneurial spaces. Through a feminist lens, the essay reflects on the collaborations, cultural production and creative energy transforming the city.
The inclusion of Elle Lokko within this broader conversation positioned the space not simply as a retail destination, but as part of a growing ecosystem of women-led cultural infrastructure contributing to contemporary creative life in Ghana.
