Christie Brown Resort 25, Shot at Elle Lokko

There are moments when fashion doesn’t just arrive in a space — it listens to it. When a collection finds its rhythm not through spectacle, but through stillness, intention, and presence. Christie Brown’s Resort 2025 collection, ESCAPE, is one of those moments — and we were honoured to see it come alive within the walls of Elle Lokko.
For over a decade, Elle Lokko has existed as more than a location. It is a meeting point for the continent’s most compelling creative minds — a space where African fashion, art, design and culture are not explained or diluted, but fully expressed. Hosting Christie Brown’s Resort 25 campaign here felt less like a booking and more like alignment.
The Christie Brown Woman, In Pause
The Christie Brown woman has spent the first half of the year in constant motion — leading, building, nurturing, showing up. She knows momentum intimately. But ESCAPE marks a conscious shift. Not an exit, but a return.
This collection is an invitation to slow down with intention. To choose softness without surrendering strength. To recognise that rest is not the opposite of power — it is one of its most refined expressions.
Shot within the calm, textured architecture of Elle Lokko, ESCAPE unfolds quietly. There is no urgency here. Only breath. Presence. Space.

Designed for Ease, Grounded in Elegance
Flowing silhouettes, relaxed tailoring, and breathable fabrics define the collection. Kaftans that catch air mid-step. Sets that slip on without resistance. Pieces that move with the body, not against it.
These are garments that don’t demand attention — they hold it. Quietly elegant, deeply intentional, and unmistakably Christie Brown.
ESCAPE lives in the in-between moments: early mornings that stretch slowly, conversations without clocks, afternoons that don’t need a plan. It is resort wear not as performance, but as permission.

A Tropical Daydream, Rooted in Craft
Texturally rich and visually poetic, the collection plays with volume, movement and surface detail. Intricate appliqués, jacquards, lace and tulles appear throughout — contemporary silhouettes anchored by African artisanal language.
A sleeveless top with oversized floral cut-outs in a rusted hue sits effortlessly atop sheer layers, paired with high-waisted blue jacquard trousers echoing the same motif — bold yet breathable.
A statement blue coat reveals Christie Brown’s signature embroidery at the back, layered over tulle and lace-accented trousers — a study in contrast, confidence and control.
A two-tiered ivory gown with a golden, wave-textured bodice and soft frilled detailing offers a romantic counterpoint, worn by a plus-size muse and reinforcing the brand’s continued commitment to inclusivity without compromise.
Colour, Comfort, Confidence
Earthy reds, sky blues, rich creams and sun-washed neutrals move across textured cottons and airy fabrics. The palette is bold yet calming — designed for warmth, light and lived-in elegance.
As Christie Brown describes it: bold colours, effortless style, freedom to breathe.
These are not just clothes. They are a state of being.

Why Elle Lokko
At Elle Lokko, we champion creatives who shape culture rather than chase it. Christie Brown has long stood as a continental authority — merging heritage craftsmanship with modern femininity, and doing so with quiet conviction.
That this campaign was framed here matters. It reinforces what we have always believed: Africa does not need to be imagined — it needs to be experienced. Our spaces, like our creatives, are layered, intentional and globally fluent.
ESCAPE at Elle Lokko is not about stepping away from life. It’s about stepping into it with clarity, ease and alignment.
